What Our Customers Say

Professional and Informative! Igor installed a E.V. 240V plug outside my home and did a clean and professional install. Compared to other bids I received, Igor's was fair and after he was done it was definitely worth every penny. He pointed out things that I should be aware of and informed me of options to take care of it. He let me know about the importance of surge protector and installed one for me on the fly. I am definitely going to use Pwr Pro Electric for future electrical projects.

I recommend Pwr Pro for all your electrical needs, from the smallest of repairs to the biggest jobs they will take care of you!

Does Your Vancouver Home Have Fewer Circuits Than Loads?

A new circuit from the panel or a receptacle where you need one — sized for what will plug in, and tested before we leave.

A new circuit is a fresh cable from a breaker in the panel to the place it serves — a kitchen counter, a garage, a 240-volt appliance. Outlet installation is smaller: a new receptacle fed from a circuit that already runs nearby. Which one you need depends on what will plug in; steady or heavy loads get their own circuit. Neither job touches the meter or the service, so Clark Public Utilities is not part of it and your power stays on except for the circuit we are working on. In your house we check the panel for free breaker space and the existing wiring before we tap in, then run the cable and fit GFCI or AFCI protection where the code requires it. Swapping a broken device for the same kind is a small job, and we take those too.

How It Works Here

1

Check the panel

Free breaker space, or a subpanel first

2

Written estimate

Circuit count and locations agreed first

3

Check the wiring

Aluminum or copper, before we tap in

4

Run the cable

Panel to box, walls opened as little as possible

5

Test and inspect

Every device tested, inspection booked

Vancouver is a 1990s city — 21% of its 85,421 homes date from that decade — but 13,705 houses were built in the 1970s, and the 1965–73 slice is the aluminum-wiring years. Outlet installation on an aluminum circuit means the new connection has to be made for aluminum, so we check before we tap in.

Signs You Need a New Circuit or Outlet Installation

Power strips and extension cords in daily use
The microwave and toaster trip the kitchen breaker
A garage or shop with no power
Two-prong outlets where a grounded one is needed
A new range, dryer, heat pump or EV charger

What Affects the Cost of a New Circuit or Outlet in Vancouver

A receptacle added off a nearby circuit is smaller work than a new breaker and cable, and these points decide which you need.

  • What plugs in

Lamps and chargers can share; a range, dryer, heat pump, shop tool or kitchen counter gets its own circuit.

  • Breaker space

If the panel has no free spaces, a subpanel goes in before any new circuit can land.

  • Aluminum in 1965–73 houses

In a house from those years, tapping an aluminum circuit takes connectors rated for aluminum.

  • Cable route

An easy crawlspace or attic path keeps walls closed; a long run through finished rooms takes more time.

  • GFCI and AFCI

Kitchens, baths, garages and outdoor spots take GFCI, and most living spaces take AFCI, under the current code.

  • No utility, one inspection

Clark Public Utilities is not involved, and the new wiring is inspected by the city or Washington L&I, by address.

Every job gets a written estimate before any work starts.

Questions Homeowners Ask

Will you come out for one outlet?
Yes. A single outlet installation, one light or one breaker is a normal service call for us. Call 503-984-1097 and tell us what your home needs.
Will Clark Public Utilities need to come out?
No. A new circuit or receptacle does not touch the meter or the service, so the utility is not involved. Only the circuit we are working on is switched off.
My house is a 1970 build. Does that change the job?
It might. Houses from 1965 to 1973 may have aluminum branch wiring, and a new receptacle on such a circuit needs connectors rated for aluminum. We check the existing wiring before we tap into it.
How long does a new circuit take to install?
About a day for a new circuit from the panel. Adding or replacing an outlet on a circuit that is already there is quicker and done the same day.
